Hi my crafty friends :)

Again it is my turn to be Guest Designer at She's A Sassy Lady

I have a couple of projects to share with you today, one being my Valentine's card co-created with my eldest Grandaughter Monique !!

This card was created using Paper Trimmings for the outer part of the card in CCR

I welded Accents5 shape sized at 5.222" to Accents5-S also sized at 5.222"

The Hugs and Kisses Heart was sized at 2.917" all layers combined, Hugs and Kisses were sized at 0.583"

( I did this in two stages, the first was print only with everything removed except the combined heart, the second stage was load everything except the combined heart, back to the mat to print and cut).

I added all this to a 5"x5" card base, then added "Happy Valentine's Day" sized at 2" with all the layers to the inside, using the Phrases cart,

On the back (Moniques' Design) I placed the "True Love" sized at 4.347" also using the Phrases cart.

My next project was the Valentine Heart, this was created using the Art Philosophy cart gluing 2 hearts together sized at 5", some ribbon wedged between the two hearts.

The Centre couple are from CCR exclusive cart "Valentine's Sweets" both layers sized at 3"

Finally I wanted to make the cute challenge card that Sheila made a few weeks ago, I wasn't able to do the challenge at the time, due to illness, so here is my card using the template that Sheila shared with us all

Today is my turn to Guest Design at She's A Sassy Lady

I hope everyone has a great Holiday !!!

I have been ill, so haven't been able to enjoy all the festivities of the Christmas / New Year :(

Not to worry, Today I want to share a card I have made for my Darling Husband, whose Birthday is on the 15th (just before our very own Bobby's from the Cricut Couple )

My husband is also my Carer (I'm Disabled) and he does a terrific job of taking good care of me, he's my rock, my best friend and I am so lucky to have him in my life.

So on to the card

This card was designed using CCR, Love struck 2010 and 3 Birds - Life's A Party cartridge's

Not your typical Man Card right LOL!! Hubby appreciates the sentiment, rather than the images...phew !!

First I used Life's A Party for the card base sized at 8.389"

I added another Heart sized at 4" in white

Another in red sized at 3.75" with another sized at 3.208" placed inside to make a frame

Sweet Heart sentiment was sized at 1.528" for the font shadow and 1.472" for the font

The next thing was to add my embellishments using Love Struck 2010 cart.

Kiss was cut at 1.5"

Both lips were cut at .75"

Winged hearts were cut at 2"

Hearts were cut at 1.75" & 1.5" (I flipped the smallest to sit on top of the larger heart)

Cupcake topper banner was cut at 4.931"

Finally the cupcake wrapper was cut at 7" (we have smaller cupcakes here in the UK)

Firstly I scored my heart card in half , then folded one half of one side inward, to form my easel base

Next I added paper Doilies to the cutout section of my frame

I added one of the winged hearts to my cupcake topper and put the 2 hearts together

I hadn't used the "Kiss" phrase before and it cut out 3 times around all sections strangely, so I used the centred cutout and hand cut a white base for it.

Here's the cupcake I made for my Hubby

Needless to say it didn't make it to the final picture LOL!! (Good job I made plenty more ;) )

I added the red frame and then added the Sweetheart sentiment to the front of my white heart along with the matching winged heart from the now devoured cupcake :)

Next I glued directly on to the upper facing folded part of my base card

Then I added my framed heart to the adhesive section of the base

and not forgetting the back

My card was completed by adding the "Kiss" onto the hearts that were pop dotted onto the base to act as the stopper

Cricut Circle December Monthly Challenge

Hi Crafters :)

Today I want to share my Circle December Monthly Challenge entry.

We must show how we use our Cricuts to wrap or decorate our presents, so this is what I am enetering

I used the CCR exclusive New Years Eve 2012

I also used Enjoy the Season to floodfill my cracker and Santas Village for the Reindeer

The Cracker was cut at 5" in CCR, floodfilled with Enjoy the Season cart

To dress my cracker up a bit I added an inked inked up Doilie, some feathers, flowers and hat pins along with a Reindeer cut at 2"

She's a Sassy Lady Guest Designer Day

Hi Crafty Friends :)

Today is my turn to Guest Design at She's A Sassy Lady

I made this versatile 12 drawer chest, it is for my 13 year old Grandaughter

This is a great gift for any occasion, as the 3" drawers are so useful :)

First you need 12 pieces of card stock sized at 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" for the drawers

Score at 1 3/8" around all 4 sides, snipping away pieces as shown below to make the tabs

Fold all 4 tabs together to form your box.

Next you need 12 pieces of card sized at 3"x12"

Scored at 3", 41/2", 7 1/2" & 9" This makes the wraps for the boxes to sit within.

To form the chest you need to stack 3 boxes on top of each other, placing the set of 3 at the far right of an 6"x6" base all round the 4 sides, add another piece of 6"x6" on top to make more secure.

With patterned paper of your choice you next need to cut 4 pieces at 4 1/2" x 3" for the front panels and with the same patterned paper cut a separate piece at 6"x12" for the easel card, score at 6" and 9"

Next you need to cut some matting card stock for the front panels and drawers

you need 12 pieces cut at 2 1/4" x 1 1/4"

4 pieces cut at 4 1/4" x 2 3/4"

The next step is to add your patterned paper as a mat over the front panels and drawers, these need to be cut at 2 5/8" x 1 1/8" for the 12 drawers and 4 = 4" x 2 1/2" for the front panels

For the Easel card section

I also added red glitter card stock for the card front cut at 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" along with a strip to act as a stopper cut at 1 1/2" x 6"

Then added my patterned paper cut at 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"

I use Santas Village for all my embellishments cut at 2 1/2" for the larger images

and 1" for the rounded Santa head's,

I also used some ink dyed doilies trimmed to form a folded fringe around the back of my Easel Card and added some brads for the drawer openings.

I think my eldest Grandaughter will love this for her trinkets :)

She's a Sassy Lady weekly Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends :)

Today I want to share my project I made for this weeks

She's A Sassy Lady Challenge

We must use Red & White in our project, so I made this Squeezy Card

The idea of a Squeezy Card, is that it has 3D dimension but squeezes down to lay flat, so fits in a regular envelope for posting :)

Here is a screen shot of my project using CCR

The card base is a 4" rounded square from George, filled using a paper pattern from Santas Village, both the squeezy sides are 4"x3" also filled with the same patterned paper.

The frame (bottom left) is another 4" rounded square, with another rounded square set inside sized at 3.083.

I used the inside cutout for the sentiment on the back of the card.

Santa was sized at 2.5"

Large building was 4.014"

Small building was also 4.014"

First Lay your large building on the back of your 4" square.

Using the 2 side pieces score them at 1/2", accordian fold and attach them to the sides of the 4" base.

Next you need a piece of acetate (I used a piece cut from a cartridge shell)
Attach the smaller building onto the acetate and place it on the first of the accordian folds

Take another piece of acetate and attach to the topmost fold, then add your Frame and Santa

Finish off by adding the obligatory glitter :)

The beauty is it now squeezes into a normal size envelope for posting, then expands to normal when opened :)

For those with a enveloper, I used a 6 7/8" square, scoring lines E & F for my flat envelope.

I love these style of cards, so versatile.

Cricut Circle Magazine Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends :)

This months Circle Magazine Challenge is to use the Circle exclusive cart Sophie,

We need to use 3 cuts from Sophie on our project, so here is what I came up with

From the Sophie Cart, I used 3 x Snowflake shadows in variant sizes.

1st @ 4.75", 2nd coloured red @ 4.5", then another white @ 4.25"

I also used Santas Village Cart for my Santa cut @ 2.5"

Seasons was cut @ 0.875 coloured red from Winter Woodland Cart

Greetings was cut @ 0.986 coloured red from Winter Woodland Cart

I used an action wobble on Santa to make him stand out

I also used red mica powder to colour the red snowflake and the Seasons Greetings, also white pearl to colour the smallest white snowflake.

All were added to the Green Glitter Card to finish

The extra Santa is inside the card.

The card is prettier in real life than what the pictures show, sorry for the poor quality pictures, it is really hard to get a good picture where glitter card stock is used.

Weekly Challenge at She's A Sassy Lady

Hi fellow Crafters' :)

Today I want to share with you my card I made for She's A Sassy Lady's Christmas challenge

This card is a shaker card, made using Snow Angel Patterned Paper and Imagine More Cards

First I got my card base from Imagine More Cards, then switched the patterned paper for one from Snow Angel, I copied the front again for my acetate.

This is originally a tri-fold card, I wanted a traditional shape, so just scored down the centre of the card.

I added a Thomas Kinkade printed image to sit inside my aperture window.

I next added some iridescent glitter to the roof and added a teaspoonful to the centre

Next I added some shaker tape (foam on a roll) and some acetate on the back of the extra front section.

This ensured that all the glitter would stay inside the sealed area of the front when the card is shook, it really looks like glistening snow :)

Finally I added some embellishments, gold poinsettia's, red ribbon and green stickles

I love shaker cards at Christmas :)

Audrey challenged us to make something using Green, Brown & Rhinestone for this weeks challenge over at She's A Sassy Lady

So this is what I made

This card is made from Sophie & Lori's Garden

The card base was Card 2 from Sophie on P.23 sized at 10.44

The Cream Bird Image was cut at 2.25 and coloured using Lorie's Garden palette

The mid brown circle was cut at 2" also coloured using LG

The Doily was cut at 3" coloured using LG

The Border was cut at 1.556 using LG Icon P.31 switching out the pattern from blue to Autumnal.

I added extra green papers I printed, to the inside and also another border to add to the edge

Finishing off with a built in shape, a Peel Off sentiment, some brown organza ribbon and a rhinestone

Exploring Cricut Guest Design Project

Hi Fellow crafter's

Today I wanted to share my Victorian Slipper project with you, that I am sharing on the Exploring Cricut blog

This Slipper was designed using George and Basic Shapes + my Gypsy

The flowers were made using Art Philosophy, though any adornment could be used.

First you need to cut out all the shapes from the Gypsy file

This Slipper measures 8.5" x 3", big enough to hold a smallish gift.

You need to score the long flat shaped oval at about 1/4" all down one side, cut small slits up to the score line, shaping as you go, attach this to one of your sole pieces, at the heel section.

Now attach the larger toe shaped piece to the top, securing the tabs underneath. Attach the smaller toe piece on top of the larger one if you use a contrasting colour.

I used Core'dinations Ebony & Ivory collection.

Finally add the second sole to cover all the tabs

Your Slipper should now look like this

I added two Art Philosophy flowers to the toe section, to add some decoration,

She's a Sassy Lady Guest Designer Day

Today I am guest designing on She's a Sassy Lady

I wanted to share with you my Cuckoo Clock Box, this is a versatile box and can easily be converted for any occasion.

I first got all my shapes cut from my Gypsy

Score around the all sides of the shaped box on both front and back section at 1/4",

Cut a V into the corner sections where you would normally do for any box, also where the roof meets the sides, this will allow you to form the box shape, glue these tabs with strong adhesive.

Next attach the hinged window section

For the next part, you need to score the 2 side edges at 1/2" on both ends, attach to both sides of the box front on the outside, as shown below.

Remember to only add adhesive to the lower edge.

You next need to score the larger of the two roof edges at 3/4" on one side and attach to the front of your box on the left hand side, the shorter roof edge piece goes on top of the right hand side and the covers the extended left hand side tab.

That leaves the bottom piece to be attached, all sides should be covered by the edges now, to complete the box lid.

For your circular piece, this can be anything you want, I chose a clock face from the same paper range.

Note this is larger than the orifice to allow for sentiments and perhaps pop dots for dimension etc.

Your box lid should now look like picture below.

For the final touch, I added gold peel off's around the clock face and the hinged window.

September Challenge on the Circle Magazine

This is my entry into the Circle Magazine Echo Park September Challenge

Today I received some Echo Park Paper's from my very dear friend Khrista, Thanks Sweetie :)

I decided to use Victoria Garden's paper stack to make this French Fries Box from the Art Philosophy cart.

The box was cut @ 11.35" and the 3 flowers were cut @ 3" as we had to have 4 cricut cuts using Echo Park papers.

This is my finished design, filled with some other things Khrista sent me..bless her :)

3 Fold Art Philosophy Card

Hi everyone :)

Today there is a new challenge blog at Exploring Cricut

We must use the shaped square from P.43 and any 2 flowers

So I decided to take this weeks challenge and this is what I came up with.

The card base is 3 of the squares joined to create the tri-fold card base cut @ 4" un-linking the sizing to make both width & height exactly 4"

the frame is 4" and the joined hearts are cut @ 2.8" all un-linked in sizing

The flowers are cut @ 4" normal linking h/w

The smaller single heart is cut @ 2.56"

The joined hearts are attached to the centre panel, then the single plain heart is attached for the sentiment

The back has the left over inner cut from the frame attached

This sounds like it will be a fun new challenge blog

Today is day 2 of our So What's New Blog Hop weekend.

Today I want to share a card design with you, I call this a Tri fold top Card

This all folds together flat, to form a 4" square card.

Firstly you need 4 square's sized at 4" on your Gypsy, Design Studio or CCR,

On the left hand of your screen, add one square in the middle of the left side, add one square to the top of it and one square below it, ensuring you overlap slightly, to allow the shapes to weld as one image.

Next add another square to the right hand side of the middle square to form a "T" shape like the picture below.

You now have the base for the card.

I added 3 frames cut @ 4", along with 4 butterfly's cut @ 2.24", with 2 flower's cut @ 2.47" for the embellishments. I layered the flower & butterfly's.

I added the frames to the left, right and top part of the card, leaving the hidden part plain for the sentiment

For all the cuts in this project I used the Art Philosophy cart, if you want the Gypsy file for the card you can grab it HERE , you can use any other cart that has square's if you don't have Art Philosophy.

OK, so here is my project for today's Hop

This is a Suitcase that holds A2 size card's

To make this Suitcase you will need the following card stock

2 - 8" x 6 1/2" for the boxes

2 - 5 1/4" x 1/2" for the handles

2 - 5 1/4" x 1 1/4$ for the inside panels

1 - 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" for the hinge.

Here is the Gypsy layout

You can get the Gypsy file HERE, I used George & basic shapes

For the box you need to score at 1 1/4" around all four sides for both box pieces.

Snip a little triangle out of each corner join for the tabs.

Glue the four tabs you created to form the boxes

Next attach the hinge (5 1/4" x 2 1/2") to join both boxes together

Your Suitcase is now formed, now we need the handles

First Glue the handles to the front of the case forming a slight curve, then add brads

To ensure your case align's & closes correctly, we need to add two corners, so using a circle punch, punch out two circles and fold in half

Add them to the inside front of your case

Now your Suitcase is complete and will hold some A2 card's too :)

Imagine This Friday Challenge over at Enjoying The Bug

Today is my turn to design for

Imagine This Friday Challenge at Enjoying The Bug

Today I wanted to make something really simple but decorative, so decided to make a Christmas decoration using the Imagine More cartridge that came with the Imagine, plus add 2 cached patterns from Snow Angel.

So here is what I made

This was really quick to make, so here is what you need to do to make your own.

Firstly select a border from the Imagine More cart, size 2 @ 2.5" and the other 2 @ 2", then using the 2 cached Snow Angel patterns, flood fill your borders.

Score your borders on every divide and through the centre of the hole to give an even accordian folded border, mine worked out at every 5/8 of an inch.

Stick both ends of each border together in relevant sizes ie. both 2.5" borders glued together to form a circle

I also used a circle punch to cut 4 circles to join the flattened circles to.

Pop the smaller circle onto the top for added dimension and there you have it...Simple :)

( To cache a pattern from a different cartridge, just select a basic shape, click the edit pencil, this brings you to the edit screen, choose your chosen pattern by holding your stylus on the pattern for a few seconds, a pop-up window will appear saying "Cache Pattern", click it and it will save it in the machine's memory and add it to the end of your next plugged in cartridge's patterns.)

Cricut Circle Exclusive Cartridge Challenge

On the Circle Blog we are having a Blogiversary challenge :)

We need to use a Circle exclusive Cartridge for this challenge.

I wanted to make a card using French Manor Circle Exclusive Cartridge, so here is what I came up with

This card was made using the front fold back gatefold technique (also known as double Z card in the USA)

Firstly take some card stock sized 5 1/4" x 12"

Score with the 12" at the top of your score board @ 2", 4", 8", & 10"

Fold the 2" & 10" scores into mountain folds

Score the 4" & 8" into valley folds

Now for the front panel's & the inside papers

I used Kanban's paper stack "Oxford & Cambridge"

The birds paper is my 1st pattern paper, the crowns are my 2nd pattern paper.

Cut 1st pattern paper to 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" (for the inside)

Cut 1st pattern paper piece @ 1 3/4" x 5" 2 times (Front panel)

Next, cut 2nd pattern paper @ 1 1/4" x 4 3/4" 2 times (Front panel)

Using French Manor Circle Exclusive Cartridge I cut the birdcage layer on image 17 cut @ 3"

Also image 26 was cut @ 1.5" twice, one flipped.

I traced around the birdcage onto 1st pattern paper and cut out, attached to the back of the birdcage.

I then traced around the birdcage again onto plain white card stock, edged it with blue glitter sakura pen, added a 1" trim from 2nd pattern paper.

Using a flower brad I attached this to my inside 1st paper of my card.

On the reverse of my card I added some patterned paper, layered to leave room for a sentiment and cover up the brad.

The front panels were layered in this order

1st pattern paper to the 2" front panels

2nd pattern paper onto the 1st pattern paper

Fancy flourish onto the 2nd pattern paper

Then I added a strip of 1st pattern paper cut @ 8 1/4" x 1 2/8" and a circle punch, to use as a wrap closure

I hope you like this technique, it is very versatile for various occasion's.

Accordian Anniversary card

posted a beautiful Accordian card, so today I decided to play along

so here is my Anniversary Card, using Sheila's very easy video instructions.

First I took a shaped square from Elegant Edges & sized it to 5"

Copied and welded the second square to the first to form my card base.

Next I wanted a heart to be my centre cut out, so using Art Philosophy I added my heart sized at 3.59" to the centre of the card after using hide contour to remove the middle heart.

I copied the card base with the heart cut out 2 more times, to use as my front and inside cover using patterned glittery card stock.

I next added the lacy heart frame to cover the heart opening on the base using plain pink glitter card stock I cut the heart frame at 4.47" I cut another for the inside cover too.

The final part's for my card were a sentiment panel that I cut from Elegant Edges, the square was cut at 3.82" in plain white paper and the sentiment for the front was "I Love You" from Gypsy Wanderings cut at 2.75" using the plain pink glitter card stock & plain white for the base wording

I made this Christmas card using Snow Angel & a built in shape, it's quick and easy and really cute !!

Snow Angel : Red Coat cut @ 4" one flipped for joining

Snowman image cut @ 1.5" for decorating the insert mat

Built in shape : Rounded square cut @ 3" for the insert mat

Sakura Gel Pen & Ultra fine iridescent glitter for the buttons

Super simple but really cute !!

Cricut Circle September Monthly Challenge

I am entering my first Monthly circle challenge using my Christmas card from the previous post and TBBM
We were asked to make something with a window effect, so this is what I came up with

The Window Box was cut at 6.6" using Core'dinations Ebony & Ivory CS

The two white flourishes were cut at 2"

The tag was cut @ 2.2" with the sentiment from the Phrases Stamps from CTMH

And of course the rose card was put inside (details below this post) :)

With the addition of some bling, my Window Box is complete

This card can be used for different things, including Table Setting's & Greetings Card's

I'm using it for Christmas cards

Using the Card feature on P.69 I cut the card at 5" and coloured red using the RGB colour wheel

Also from P.69 I used the <banner6> font/shift feature to cut my rose at 4" and coloured it red

The Lace was from P.51 <Circle4> Decorative Layer/Shift cut at 4"

I also cut 3 leaves from Flower Shoppe cut at 1" and RGB green

Some glossy accents were added to make some fake rain drops

Butterfly Tri Fold Card with a twist

Hi :)

I got my Gypsy back yesterday, so after re-loading all my carts and updating, I finally got to play..Yay!!

So... I made this Butterfly Tri Fold card with a twist

I am using this card to show at Enjoying The Bug's Challenge yourself Monday

This is a front drop card made with the Gypsy

My Template was made using TBBM and George

TBBM shape was unlinked and sized to measure 7.75x4.25 from the Blackout image 20 (tag)

George rectangles were unlinked and sized to 3.25x5.5 and 3.25x4.25

The larger rectangle was centred onto the TBBM base to form my basic template

Then I added the butterfly's from Paper Lace, having 3 as cut out's from the card base's, then 4 sets of shadow and image for decoration cut at .76 from feature key Lace 2 image 15 + Shadow

Lace borders were cut at 3.85x.76 using feature key Lace 2 & image 24

My Weekly Circle Challenge #40 Entry

This is my very first Circle challenge entry

We have to follow a sketch set by Jana using glitter or bling

My interpretation is this Christmas Card using the new Art Philosophy Cartridge.

My base card was set at 7.5" on p.62 (card)

The flourish was cut at 3" from p.50 (font layer)

The 3 flowers were cut at 5", 4" & 3" from p.69 (font shadow)

Finally the decorative layer was cut at 3" from p.62 (shadow)

The sentiment was from CTMH Sentiments duo pack

A piece of green glitter card from my stash was cut at 4.25" x 3.25"

The card base and flowers were glitter sprayed with Gold Spray & Sparkle from Crafters Companions.

My Imagine This Design Team Challenge

My challenge for this week is to make use of any basic built in shape

I wanted to get a head start on some Christmas cards, so this is what I came up with ;)

By just using 3 circle shapes and a Snow Angel Image, quick and easy :)

I cut 2 plain circles at 4" and 5"

1 patterned circle at 4.5" (Snow Angel)

The image from Snow Angel was cut at 3"

First I added the patterned paper to the largest circle,

scored through the centre then added the smallest circle (only adhering the bottom half to the base)

I also added a wax Christmas seal

So quick and easy to make, my next batch will have action wobbles for the Kiddies :)

CCR Challenge

Today I wanted to share the basket I made using CCR

We were asked to create a basket using the welding method in CCR

I used the following cartridges

George & Basic Shapes for my 3.5" rounded square

Picturesque for the fence cut @ 3.5" (copy pasted 3 more times)

fence bars were added and sized to fit the fence using the handles, as were the roses

I decided to use

Sophisticated for the Font & Baby Boutique for the RGB colours'

The Base Pink layer of the shape is cut @ 4" Relative from Sophisticated P.64

Also the Grey base layer was cut @ 4" Relative (3.4 True)

The Silver Font base was cut @ 1.7 Relative (1.8 True) P.51

the Pink layer for the Font was cut @ 1.7 Relative

I glittered the Font, added some bling, then placed it on a card blank using Pinflair Glue Gel to add dimension.

Hi All,

Today is my turn to host the "Imagine This" Challenge over at Enjoying The Bug

I kept the challenge simple, use any built in shape from the Imagine + any 2 colors

Here is what I came up with

Using a 4.8" rounded square, I coloured with Mystical Garden

A 4.5" rounded square left plain

A 4" flower from Flower shoppe

3 - 3.5" flowers + 3 leaves, all coloured with Mystical Garden

Choosing "Fit ti Page" to scale everything down to one page

Leaving me with a 4" base and all other objects proportionate.

I attached my made up Flower base to a piece of card stock 8"x4.5" folded in half.

Added a plain insert and some half back pearls.

Yay!!! How exciting a brand new Blog started Today and I'm a Design Team Member!!
Enjoying The Bug
launches today with a challenge and a cart give-away, why not join in the fun,

Here is my Design Team Challenge project.

We were asked to create a Birthday Boy LO or Card, using 2 color's, an animal (sorry I used a fish as it was so cute) and at least 1 cricut cut, so this is my creation. using the Imagine.

This Birthday Card is for My Great Nephew Keelan who will be celebrating his 2nd Birthday soon

First I created my card base using CCR & Disney's Dreams Come True Cartridge.

I added 2 Flounder shadow image's, flipped one and welded it to the first, colored and resized so the total card measured 10", then sent to Print/Cut.

Next I added my Text "2 Keelan"

I used Cindy Loo cartridge for the Font.

Next I used my Imagine & Dreams Come True cartridge to get all my layers, all layers were cut @ 5"

I didn't want the flat image so used my Imagine on it's own for the layers.

I assembled my layers

Then added it to my card base with the text.

I hope you enjoyed my project today, for all the color's, I used "color cop" this tool allows you to select any color from any image on your computer screen and gives you the RGB code.
I also used Disney clips

My First Christmas Project for 2011

Hi :)

Today I made my first Christmas project for 2011

This Christams Gift Box was made using 2 = 12x12 sheets of Papermania Christmas Pack

Snow Angel Imagine Art Cartridge & white 12x12 card stock

A few brads and glitter

Here is the basic method to make the box

Take the 8x8" piece's of double sided card stock, score around all edges at 1"

Snip into the 4 1" corners to form the tabs

Also cut 2 strips of the same card stock @ 1" x 6" for the handles
2 pieces at 2" x 1" for the corner strengtheners
Then a piece of 6" x 2" to join the two boxes together as a hinge.

2 corners are strengthened at the front

2 Snowflakes & a Greeting from Snow Angel cartridge were cut @ 5" as the embellishment's

Then added them to the Front & Back of my box

I hope this project inspires you to make your own.

Ariel Drawer Box Easel Card

Today I made this Drawer Box Card using Ariel from Disney's Dreams Come True, Baby Boutique & CCR

Ariel was printed & cut @ 3.5" after the second attempt (First time it printed but didn't cut)

I layered Ariel onto a circle I recoloured from Baby Boutique cut @ 4"

then layered onto another circle cut @ 5"

Using Sekura gold sparkle to add highlights' to her flower and top and some flat back pearls to outer circle

Finally I added the topper to my Drawer Box Easel Card

Full Colour Composite Disney Pooh using CCR

Today I wanted to try out CCR and the technique that the fabulous Narelle gave for layering all the coloured components and print/cut as one complete coloured image, cricutcraftroomblog.blogspot.com
so I decided to make a box with Pooh on the front.

First I started with a piece of card measuring 9" x 6.5", scored at 1", 4", 5" & 8" across the long side

Turned 90 degree's and scored at 1" & 5.5" on the short side.

Then cut all the 1" score to form the box tabs, it looks like this.

After assembling the tabs it looks like this

Using CCR (Cricut Craft Room) I created my coloured layer's printed & cut
my image from my Imagine @ 4"

After successfully cutting & printing my Pooh image I added it to an Elegant Edges blank layer cut @ 3" then layered onto another Elegant Edges blank layer cut @ 5"

Finally I added it to my Box

More Sweet tooth Boxes

Today I want to share my 2 STB projects

The first smaller box was cut @10.5" from page 21

I used the hinged lid plus the scalloped edged lid , all cut with pearlescent 12x12 card stock

I also used Cricut Everyday to cut out the Imagine image @ 3" from page 31

The Flower was cut from Flower Shoppe @ 3" from page 16, I used Baby Boutique for the colours

I use this box for my most used Imagine carts as it is just the right size to sit at the side of my Imagine.

The bigger box base was cut at 11" from page 60, using 350 gsm 12x12 card stock

The square lid was made from Papermania capsule collection 12x12 card stock

The inner tray was also cut at 11" using pearlescent 12x12 card stock

The flower was from Flower Shoppe cart, page 13 cut @ 3" using pearlescent card stock

Today I made this Sweetie Box for the Nursing Staff looking after my Husband.

The Carts used were:- Sweet Tooth Boxes & Enjoy the Season

The Box was cut @ 10" (project 4, page 26) and coloured using Enjoy the Season

The inner shelf was cut @ 6" (project 11, page 64) using the hide contour feature in CCR (though it printed but didn't cut) :(

Sorry it has been so long since I last posted anything, I have been ill with Pleurisy :(

Anyway, Today I wanted to share with you a Fancy Frame I made for Mum.

This Frame houses a very important sentiment, as it is a memorial verse about my Step Father, who died last September.

The Frame, Shadow & stand were all cut at 7"

I used purple pearlescent card stock for image 2 Frame

Silver mirri board for image 2 Shadow

Ivory pearlescent card stock for the Stand (4th image bottom row)

The verse is computer generated

Baby Boutique Mum Card

Here is a card I made using TC's BB cart
The card base is an A4 folded in half
The main circle image was cut using CCR at 4.7" it has a pink layer behind the image
The Letter's "MUM" were cut at 1.25" using the Imagine , not CCR.
A stock image rectangle (ratio 2.3) was flood filled using the first damask pattern in the handbook and cut at 4.5" (Not CCR)I cut another rectangle with out pattern, put both through the cuttlebug using a Cindy Loo folder, the patterned one was seperated and layered on top of the middle section of the plain one, the remainder added to top & bottom of the original plain rectangle, giving a patchwork look.

Blossom = Flood filling card base and butterfly
Picturesque = Butterfly, base cut at 2" then 2 x 2" layers floodfilled with blossom, one placed with wings open
Sentimentals = Thank You Phrase, floodfilled using blossom RGB palette
All edges were glittered using a Quickie Glue Pen and iridescent glitter

"Little stinker" is from P.14, seperated and all layers removed except Skunk with wording (booklet shows wording seperate but it isn't) flipped and cut @ 5"

"Your my sunshine" was left combined & flipped and cut @ 2"

This is a 6.5" x 5" chipboard base cut from Elegant Edges Cart Book feature

The 5 inner section's are the same cut and size

with Damask Decor card attached to the right hand side, cut at 5.5"

The built in shape for the left side's of inner card were cut at 3.5"

flood filled with various patterns from Blossom & Nursery tails

For the Journaling or Picture I used the built in shape cut at 4.5"

All edges were glittered throughout, with additional bling added

Another Quick Card, Thanks

Today I made another quick card using Better Together

All images were left combined & pop dot's used to give dimension

The base card was an A4 gold card, cut in half, then folded in half to give an A6 sized card

(6"x4" when folded)

Both Phrase's were cut @ 2"

Branch with bird's was cut @ 3.5" twice, one flipped

For the Insert, I used the first image in the booklet

Cut one @ 2" and another @1"

The 1" cut was then placed on a stock image cut @ 4"

Here is another quick card using Elegant Edges, Buccaneer & Paper Lace

The base of the card is 2 welded book page's stretched to measure 11.5" in width

The shadow layer is colour filled with Buccaneer and cut @ 3.6"

The shadow shift layer also coloured with Buccaneer and cut 3.5"

Finally the phrase "Best Wishes" was coloured and cut @ 2.2"

A few Rhinestone's & Pearls to trim, with a pearlescent insert

Elegant Edges Thank You Card

I made this card using Elegant Edges & Sentimentals, Gypsy & Imagine

I first used my Gypsy to place 2 Book pages on my virtual mat sized at 5"

I selected one of the book pages and unlocked the Width/Height

I moved the page to overlap the two pages and stretched it until I had both pages measuring 11" in width

I used hide contour to remove the flourished cut out from the left page, then welded the pages together.

Using Pearlescent card stock to cut, then folded the card in half.

I added the same page in shadow cut @ 4.9" in white card

Then using Buccaneer to colour the next layer cut @ 4.8" in light green

The sentiment is from Sentimentals cut @ 1.2"

The shadow Thank You was coloured in dark green from Buccaneer

The layered Thank You was coloured in lightert green

Some pre made flowers and a bow finished the card, with a pearlescent insert

Another quick & easy card :)

I received my Buccaneer cart today YAY !!! :)

So I made the Treasure Chest

This was cut at fit to page, approximately 11.2" in Height

I had problems with this cart, I first used my Gypsy to print/cut, unfortunately it didn't cut after printing, so I decided to print/cut direct from the Imagine and voila !!! hence my inside is also coloured Lol !!!

This card was so easy & quick to make

Using Damask Decor cart, I chose the card on P.33

Cut the card, the card layer & the envelope at 4"

The envelope embellishment was cut at 2.2"

The card base & envelope embellishment were RGB red on the Imagine

This one used Light Pink RGB from P.43 , rhinestone's & half pearl's

These card's & envelope's took no more than 4 minutes to print & cut, so quick and easy :)

3 cards in 1 + Box for my Special Forum Friend Karen

I made this card for my Provo Craft Forum Friend Karen.

She kindly sent me a gift of a cricut plushy & I was so thrilled with her generosity.

As I have already sent this card I don't have the exact measurements to share..Sorry!!!

This is a 3 cards in 1

The card base is A4 folded in half, with some punched lace added to the top, then trimmed to fit inside the recess of my hand made box

The Front of the card is my hand painted rose added to the closure flap of the envelope( I think was cut @ 4" wide) from Spring Holiday Cards placed on to a 5x5 mat

The sentiment is my own printed image, placed on the SHC Frame & Mat cut @ 3.5"

When you open the right hand side of the Top Card, it reveals the inside of the second card

Again the printed sentiment is my own, the corners are cuts from the Imagine Yummy cart cut @ 2" & the mat is approximately 3x2

The entire card with my own printed insert

The box is hand made and takes 2 =12"x12" card stock, 1= 9"x4.5" and 1= 8.5" x 2.5"

It is very complicated to write the detailed measurements, so I may add the details at a later date.

I'm so cruel, she is trying to lose weight and I'm making her look at cupcakes..Wicked Sister that I am Lol !!

These are all cut @ 4" using magnetic gloss paper

New Home Right side Box Card

Today I made a "New Home" Card for my Sister,

She has just moved to her new home, so I added a duster inside the right hand side box lol!!!

She'll get the joke (I hope) lol!!!

The recipe is the same as for the Easter Card except the diagonal cut is on the opposite side creating a right hand side box.

The Birdcage is from Imagine More Cards and cut @ 5" layered

The "For your new home" is from Wild Card cut @ 4.5" rel. flood filled with RGB colours from the Imagine.

The sentiment "Just for you" is my own rub-on I designed with my home printer and Inkjet Film from Letraset.

Easter Side Box Card

Today I decided to make an Easter Card

We don't celebrate Easter quite the same as American's but my Grandaughter Monique just loves the Chocolate Eggs Lol !!!

So I created this card

The base card is 11 3/4" by 6 1/2"

Scored on the 6 1/2 side at 3/4" and 5 1/4"

Scored on the 11 3/4" side at 3 1/2", 7", 8 1/2", 9 1/4", 10 3/4" & 11 1/2"

I cut the waste card away from the 1"score line on the left side to the 8 1/2" score line on top and bottom of the 11 3/4" length.

I then cut the 3/4" tabs to the 1" score line

Then I cut in a diagonal line from the 3 1/2" score line to the centre of the 6 1/2" side

I folded all score lines inward and secured with tacky tape.

I added the Sentiment from Cindy Loo cut from my Image at 2" then I cut a stock image from the Imagine at 2.8 for the insert. and made a 2" paper flower trimmed with a Martha Stewart Punch inked the edges of everything with pink chalk eye

Today I wanted to share my Mother's Day Book Card & Box

The recipe for this is as follows:-

2 x A4 320grm Oyster Pearl Card

1 x A4 Acetate

1 x Printed paper on stock image 8 x 11.5 from Imagine More Card

Mum cut @ 1.5" from Wall Decor & More

I used The Glitter Girls Bookatrix Embossing Board for the Card Book Base, paper & Acetate

I used one of the A4 320grm Cards' for the A2 box that I designed from my Gypsy Using Plantin School Book

All embellishments are Gold Peel Off's Border & Corners + Red Bling

3D Shelf Card

Hi all :)

Today I decided to share my 3D Shelf Card with you.

It is a long process to explain but very easy to make once you have the concept

This was made using Imagine More & Better Together cartridge's.

3 x 8"x11.5" stock image rectangles.

Sentiment image was cut at 2"

the other images were cut at 3"

After printing the 3 8"x11.5" rectangles from Imagine More cart.

I traced my design on the back and cut out.

Assembled the shelves then decorated.

Creative Critters Imaginations Challenge entry

This is my very first entry into a challenge .

I have never entered anything like this before but found the Team there are so inspiring I just had to enter :)

This is what I entered

Totally made from Paper using the Image More & Best Friends Cartridge

The flower being made using the scalloped circle from the stock image's

8x4" circles, inked at the edges, sprayed with water, scrunched into a ball then flattened,

layered together and secured with a brad.

Laminated Fridge Note Magnet

I made this Fridge Note Magnet from Imagine More Cartridge page15.

The centre is cut out,so I added plain white paper behind it

The Image was cut at 8.5"

I put it through my laminator (very very old :) at least 15 years old)

Finally I added some magnetic strips to the back of the project.

All I need now is for Hubby to read what I write :)

This Mini Album was made using recycled Toilet Rolls and a Paper Flower

Completely made out of paper using Imagine More Cartridge

for the backing paper .
Card stock for Tags.

Paper Flower 8 x 4" circles from stock images

inked around the edges,squirted with water and squashed

into a ball,unraveled laid flat one on top of the other, pierced

with a pricking tool and a brad in the middle to secure.

I sprayed paper and flower with Gold Spray & Sparkle
